Chris Wilhoite, LMFT, MA
As an integrated therapist, I focus on marriage counseling, couples counseling, and sex therapy. I am present in the session and curious to what you’re experiencing. I foster a nonjudgmental, compassionate, and supportive environment where you can safely explore communication styles, develop connections, learn to express your needs, and develop the tools to grow closer to your partner.
Some areas of expertise are: Building communication and emotional intimacy, conflict resolution, healing grief and loss, major life transitions, mood disorders, and trauma, women's sexuality, libido differences, lifestyle couples, and ADHD and Autism.
Shannon Kennealey, LCSW, MFT, MA
I am a strength-based psychotherapist. My work with individuals and families strives to unlock their inner capacities for strength, self determination, health and happiness, performance, well-being, and meaningful relationships. I believe that this potential is within all of us and is waiting to be unlocked. Everyone has a unique personality and experience, therefor I take an integrated approach that pulls from a variety of theoretical frameworks including, attachment theory, narrative therapy, self psychology, emotionally focused theory and existential/spiritual psychology.
Some areas of expertise are: processing and letting go of depression, anxiety, fear, resentment and loss, healing from trauma, conflict resolution, managing stress, building healthy coping and self regulating skills, removing barriers and maximizing potential.
Ava Cohen, LCSW, Ph.D.
I have the experience to help you achieve your goals, overcome these struggles, and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I understand no two individuals are the same, and I tailor our sessions together to address challenges unique to you. We will work together to understand the root cause of your struggles and address those issues with long-lasting strategies, helping you get closer to the life you’ve always wanted through either in person or online counseling services.
My practice specializes in treating individual and couples dealing with sex and relationships.
Marcia Batchelder, LSW
I offer a holistic approach to mental health that acknowledges the interaction between an individual’s emotional and social well-being. Through my social work training, I use a system-based approach that considers an individual’s relationship with their environment and the various systems that impact their life, including family, community and larger societal systems. I work with clients to understand and address underlying issues and challenges through strengths-based approaches that encourage empowerment and healthy relationships.
I believe in creating a warm, supportive, and empathetic environment for my clients to feel heard, understood and seen. I treat a wide range of mental health issues, including relationship concerns, trauma, depression, and anxiety. My goal is to work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that build on their strengths and resources.
Some of my favorite people to work with are adolescents and young adults because they are genuine, curious and have interesting life perspectives. This is a developmental period in which therapeutic support is incredibly beneficial and aids in developing lifelong emotional regulation and self-care skills.
My practice draws on previous work in gender-based violence prevention and trauma informed practices as a school-based therapist with CU Denver’s Center on Domestic Violence through the END Violence Project.
